Spent nearly two decades in insurance, working my way up from property adjuster to owning my own $9 million agency. Two years ago, I made the switch to building online businesses.
The insurance years weren't wasted though - they taught me exactly what professionals and communities need, which is what I'm building today.

Work hard, play harder. I hit the gym every single day and love diving into anything that teaches me something new - whether it's books, podcasts, or falling down documentary rabbit holes.
But nothing beats spending time with my kids. You'll find me planning our next adventure, whether it's a daddy-daughter date or turning the park into our personal obstacle course.

Running a few things that actually make sense together. Got these local newsletters (Leander Scoop, Round Rock Scoop, West Austin Scoop) that tell people what's actually happening in their area - you know, the stuff you actually care about, not just police blotters and boring council meetings.
Built some cool stuff for insurance folks too (couldn't fully escape it 😅). Insure Metrics helps agencies run better, and Insurance Scoop keeps agents in the loop without boring them to death.
Also running Chop Wood Ventures, where we build AI stuff that actually works. Wild how many businesses need AI but don't know where to start. We help with that.
Building these businesses like puzzle pieces that fit together. Each one should run smoothly with its own leadership team, while I focus on spotting opportunities and making connections.
The newsletters are the secret sauce - they're building audiences that feed into other ventures. For example, those local newsletters? They're perfect for funneling people to home services businesses I'll build or partner with down the road.
